Tambudzai has nineteen years of work experience in development in Southern Africa in the fields of arts and culture, media, ICT, governance and democracy, children’s rights and women’s rights. She holds a bachelor’s degree with honors. Prior to joining Hivos, Tambudzai worked with various civil society organizations based in South Africa and Zimbabwe working in the South African Development Community (SADC). In her early career, Tambudzai played a key role in giving support to system set ups in civic organizations, as well as founding of festivals and other networking platforms. She has served as a juror at various film festivals in the SADC region and served as board member of several civil society organizations. She was a member of the task team assigned with drafting the African Charter on Broadcasting, adopted at the UNESCO Windhoek Plus Ten Conference in 2001. Tambudzai’s areas of passion and expertise are in project management, communication and advocacy.
