Virginia presently serves as the Eastern Africa Regional Program Manager for the Women@Work Campaign. She previously served as a Project Officer within the Women@Work Campaign and as Program Officer with the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) under the Labor Rights Program. In the latter position, she designed and coordinated collaborative projects targeting workers and smallholder producers in different local and international supply chains. She is passionate about the labor situation and the position of women in the horticulture sector. Virginia holds a first degree in Social Sciences and a master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies. She has attended different short professional courses including on policy formulation, analysis and advocacy; media advocacy; evaluation methods for development projects; Kenyan Labor Laws; and on a human rights-based approach to development.
